Editorial ethics of the magazine "Prepodavatel XXI vek" is based on the Code of ethics of scientific publications developed by the Committee on the ethics of scientific publications, as well as on the experience of reputable international journals and publishing houses.
The authors are obliged:
- to provide relevance, scientific novelty and authenticity of the submitted materials;
- to consider works of other researchers, to ensure accuracy when making references to sources and proper citation
- to guarantee the originality of research, without allowing plagiarism in all its forms (an excessive citation, hidden citation, retelling, rephrasing, etc.);
- to include in the list of co-authors all who made a contribution to carrying out and registering the results of research;
- to guarantee the exclusivity of the provided materials ( the article can't be previously published or offered to other edition);
- to be ready to cooperate with the editorial office regarding correction of mistakes or defects at any stage of the work with the materials;
- to provide information on financial sources of support reflected in the materials of the research results.
Reviewers are obliged:
- to comply with the established review deadlines;
- to treat the manuscript received for reviewing as a confidential document, not to provide it to others and not to use the containing unpublished data ; the written reviews should also be confidential;
- to give the reasoned and correct assessment of the stated research results;
- to report in case of insufficient scientific or professional competence for an objective assessment of the submitted materials;
- to have no conflict of interests concerning the reviewed material and its author / authors.
The editor-in-chief and the managing editors are obliged:
- not to give preference to authors based on gender, race, religious belief, nationality, ethnic origin, political beliefs and other conditions unrelated to the scientific value of the work;
- to be responsible for the acceptance or rejection of the article; to prevent the publication of materials that do not have scientific value, not corresponding to the profile of the magazine, contradicting its editorial policy and ethics;
- to have no conflict of interests concerning the articles that they reject or accept;
- to attract competent reviewers, to practice double (blind) reviewing;
- to comply with copyright, respectful and correct attitude towards the author and his scientific tendency, not to impose personal scientific ideas, scrupulously process materials and to coordinate editor's alterations with authors;
- to cooperate with authors and readers publishing, if necessary, corrections, clarification, refutation and apology;
- to keep editorial secret, not to open information on the submitted manuscript to anybody, except for the author, reviewers, potential reviewers, members of editorial council and the editorial board.
