EDITORIAL POLICY

"Prepodavatel XXI vek" is a full text scientific publication about the world of education. It is focused on educational processes in the higher school in all its manifestations – scientific, methodical, developing, and educational. As a result we have a unique combination of theoretical, specifically scientific, educational and methodical materials, as well as the interdisciplinary nature of its publications.

Goals and objectives of the magazine

  • promotion of high quality professional education that meets modern international standards of training of specialists;
  • distribution of information on the latest scientific knowledge and research conducted by Russian and foreign scientists in the Humanities and the possibilities of their implementation in the educational process of the University;
  • updating of the content of higher education through the introduction of results of fundamental research on key problems of the modern Humanities knowledge and the development of new educational technologies;
  • development of workforce capacity of Russian universities, provision of opportunities for high school teachers for continuing professional education on the basis of advanced domestic and foreign experience;
  • creation of a wide field for professional communication of teachers of both domestic and foreign universities;
  • popularization of experience, raising the prestige and competitiveness of high school in Russia in the international scientific and educational space.

The structure of the magazine meets the designated purposes and tasks.

First part "Pedagogical science and education" and its headings:

  • Actual problems of education
  • Content and technologies of education
  • Education and artistic creativity
  • Education and music
  • Education and physical training.
  • Philosophy and history of education
  • "Teaching science to school"

are urged to acquaint the reader with the pedagogical part of university education.

Second part ("Fundamental science to Universities") and its headings:

• "Historical sciences and archeology"

• "Philological sciences"

• "Philosophical sciences"

highlights the key issues of University preparation in the directions of humanitarian knowledge covered by the magazine.

Other important objectives of the magazine are:

  • coverage of important scientific events (headings "Anniversary" and "Scientific life");
  • publication of monograph reviews, manuals, new books (heading "Reading books"), urged to help the teacher of the higher school to navigate in the sea of modern scientific literature;
  • organization of scientific debates on key issues of contemporary Humanities (heading "Invitation to discussion").

Working principles of the magazine are professionalism, innovation, continuity of the teaching staff, interdisciplinarity, international cooperation, compliance with publishing ethics, openness. Thanks to this policy, the authors of the journal are reputable scientists and teachers as well as beginners from the Russian Federation, the CIS and far abroad countries.

Important aspects of the magazine’s policy are as following:

  • decision to publish, to revise or reject thematically inappropriate or improperly designed materials is made by the editorial Board, consisting of the most competent in the scientific community professionals; manuscripts rejected by editors, are not reviewed and will not be returned;

·         verification with the "Antiplagiat" system, a thorough review, editing, and proofreading of the submitted materials in accordance with the requirements for publication of scientific literature; the editorial Board reserves the right to make reductions and editorial revision, while respecting the principles of scientific ethics;

  • authors bear responsibility for the actual materials published in articles; the materials placed in the magazine reflect the personal views of the authors which may not coincide with the editorial opinion
  • submitting the article to the editorial Board means the author's permission to publish it in the magazine "Prepodavatel XXI vek", the placement of the article on the magazine’s website and the transmission of the text of the article to third parties (provision of data to whom is mandatory) in order to enable the citation of the publication, and to increase the citation index of both the author and the magazine;
  • the reprint of the materials published in the magazine without written permission of the editorial office isn't allowed; violation of the exclusive rights of the editorial office to use the materials transferred for the publication and processed by the editorial is pursued by the law;
  • the magazine is the royalty-free edition;
  • the fee for reviewing of articles isn't charged;
  • articles of graduate students are published free of charge; the editorial subscription for the magazine is welcomed;
  • The cost of editorial and publishing services for the pre-press publications (literary editing, proofreading, layout, translations check) is 4500 rubles. Payment is made only after receiving a positive  review  of  the editorial board of the journal and their decision to publish the article in a particular edition.
